CLIMATE CHANGE VS TREES

Climate change has been one of the most notable and dangerous menace affecting humanity in the 21st century. It occurs due to the accumulation of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere which later affect the environment, one of the most successful ways to mitigate these effects is the planting of trees.

Trees are known as the consumers of Carbon dioxide produced by humans and suppliers of Oxygen needed by man. they are known as Carbon sink, as they consume and store the carbons for proper utilization. Research has shown that Trees play important role in combating the effect of climate change.

Even with the roles these trees played, it has been cut down every day which resulted to Deforestation. Therefore, we need to encourage afforestation in order to cover up the deforested area.

HOW CAN WE COVER UP?

The only way to cover up is to plant new ones and sustain the existing ones. let's start with the planting of the new ones.

where will it be planted?

Trees should be planted close to dependable source of water, to avoid drought within the tree environment.

Trees should be planted in a sandy loamy environment, where it is not susceptible to either water logging or leaching.

It should not be planted close to an electric pole.

Where a new building is about to be constructed, trees should not be planted to avoid destruction.
